CiteSimon has something really important to say here, and so I thought I’d help spread the word by re-posting it here. It is far, far too easy on the one hand to read words like “be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect”, or “he that is born of God cannot sin” and dismiss them or try to explain them away without serious thought, or, on the other hand, to get all self-righteous, thinking we have it all and condemning those we think are missing the mark.
One thing I have come to realize: most of us seem to be allergic to real thinking!
